Fernando Robledano is the best photographer of the professional contest of underwater photography Fotosub Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 2017, who presented his prizes on the night of yesterday, Saturday, September 23. It is the second time that this young photographer obtains the first prize of this competition.
The awards ceremony was held at an outdoor event in the Plaza del Pilar, in Guanarteme where the public could enjoy on giant screen the winning photographs. Among the members of the jury were the world champion Fotosub, David Barrios; the director of the online edition of National Geographic España, Javier Flores, the director of Oceanography, Arturo Boira and the editor of the magazine specialized in diving Aqua, Mar Cuetos. The dean of Sciences of the Sea, Miriam Torres, presented the prizes of the contest Cazafotosub in which the participants managed to photograph 47 different species.
The members of the jury highlighted the great quality of the photographs presented and pointed out that Fotosub Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has returned to evidence of the excellent health of the waters of the bay of El Confital, where "underwater life amazing. "
The event is organized by the councils of City of Sea and Tourism of the City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with the sponsorship of the Gran Canaria Tourist Board and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
